MY LATEST RESEARCH

Surface acoustic waves (SAWs) are generated on the surface of a piezoelectric material. SAW refracts into liquids, on their propagation path, and can be used for microfluidic manipulation. This video shows when a drop of water comes into contact with a surface, actuated with SAW, and bursts into small droplets.

Drug loaded nanoparticle nebulised via surface acoustic waves

Nanoparticles provide a high surface area, increase their surface adsorption. Drug loaded nanoparticle is an emerging vehicle for drug delivery. The image shows drug loaded Human Serum Albumin nanoparticles for pulmonary drug delivery.
